WAITING
Breathe slowly and relax.
Keep my feet on the ground,
Don’t fall prey to the fantasy dream
masquerading itself to be authentic.
Please, fickle and elusive butterfly of love,
rest yourself on my weary shoulder.
Come close.
Don’t fly away.
My shoulder welcomes your weary heart.
I promise to remain motionless.
No sudden movements.
No rambling explanations.
Quietly and lovingly,
You will feel my inviting message of love.
I hope and pray you will choose
To coexist with me, heart-to-heart
where both of us will always enjoy
a lifetime of warm, breezy summers.
